Native American reaps revenge on the white invaders of his reservation. This one of the goriest and most violent of the psycho vet cycle. Johnny, the title character, is a tough Viet vet who flips when members of his tribe are tortured, raped and murdered by local racists. As if these atrocities aren’t gruesome enough, Johnny’s revenge is portrayed in the graphic extreme and includes blinding, skull-slicing, and even castration by dynamite – possibly a movie first. David F Friedman produced this “anti-racist” counterpart to his equally violent “fascist” film of the previous year, Ilsa – She Wolf Of The SS.
