This 49-minute independent video production is often cited as the precursor of J-Horror, the genre which flourished in the 1990s and produced films such as Joyu-Rei, Ringu, Ju-On, and Kyua. Shot in a fake documentary style reminiscent of America’s Blair Witch Project, the story concerns a TV reporter researching a female pop idol; the pop-star is beset by supernatural occurrences, seemingly linked to the suicide, seven years previously, of the woman who composed her latest hit record.
